How many kanji a week for your JLPT?
Pick your level, what you already know and your exam date. The math is the same as the goal mode in the Kanzen app.
Your pace
12 kanji a week
96 words a week
for 7 weeks · 80 kanji and 666 words to learn
New material until November 8, 2026, then consolidation.
How it's calculated
- 01We count the kanji and words of the levels you have left, up to your target.
- 02We keep the last 4 weeks before the exam free of new material: that's consolidation time.
- 03We divide by the full weeks remaining, rounded up.
- 04Up to 7 kanji a week is comfortable. Up to 12 is intense. Beyond that is very ambitious.
